Bilaminar technique in multiple Miller Class I recessions

  • 1 - Upper left hemiarch: gingival recessions in the lateral posterior area
  • 2 - Elements 2.3 and 2.4: gingival recessions of 3 and 4 mm from CEJ respectively (Miller Class I)
  • 3 - Coronally advanced flap for multiple recessions (Zucchelli method)
  • 4 - Particular of the cervical abrasions of both elements and papillas
  • 5 - OsteoBiol® <i>Derma</i> grafted and sutured to the receiving site, coronally to CEJ. Note the acute angle of the mesial graft at the canine
  • 6 - Suture that covers the graft, with a good marginal adjustment of the flap
  • 7 - Healing at 5 days: partial dehiscence of the flap at the acute mesial area of the graft
  • 8 - Healing at 20 days
  • 9 - Tissue healing at 30 days
  • 10 - Tissue healing at 2 months
  • 11 - Comparison at 2 months
  • 12 - Good esthetic result at 11 months after surgery
  • 13 - Increase of the gingival thickness
  • 14 - B/w comparison between the initial situation and the result after 11 months. Note the increase of keratinized tissue and restoration of the mucogingival line
